Woodfellas supplies a variety of high quality hardwood firewood for top-quality fireplaces and grills. All our wood is from Limpopo due to the better quality and low moisture content. We store our selection of wood under roof in a warehouse, protecting it from all the elements. We GUARANTEE all our woods are dry at an average of 8% moisture, well below the industry standard of 18% moisture allowance. All our pieces are mostly double the size compared to our competitors and industry standard sizing.

Each type of wood has been specifically chosen by us due its own unique characteristics, including burn time, heat output, and aroma. Some woods may produce more smoke or sparks than others, which can impact their suitability for certain situations. Therefore, it is crucial to choose the appropriate type of firewood for your needs to ensure efficient and safe burning.

In South Africa, there are several types of firewood commonly used for fireplaces. Although you can burn “braai wood” in fireplaces, it is not necessary as braai wood is generally more expensive and would be a waste of money (your partner might get mad).
